A lovely costume designer who appears The Devil Wears Prada 2 again And Just Like That launched a new stylish collection with Macy’s fashion label, On 34. The collection is filled with pieces inspired by iconic film and TV show characters from Rogers’ portfolio, as well as her background in costume design.
“If you’re from New York, or you’ve lived in any big city, you know you can’t walk down the street without seeing something that inspires you to be fashion-wise, hair-wise, makeup-wise,” says Rogers exclusively. I used that as a base, and a springboard, for making this Macy’s collection.”
Since New York City is a constant source of inspiration, Rogers leaned on the beauty and excitement of Manhattan when creating his collection. Colorful a-line tops, skirts, jackets and accessories are designed to be worn from day to night and can be styled in many ways, making them both fashion forward and versatile. “What were my greatest hits, and how can I reimagine them at Macy’s?” Rogers said. “I really used my photographic eye and went down the list. Sometimes, I would think about what didn’t work right—when an actor tries it on, and we say, ‘That’s a nice colored pair of pants, but if they had a little more flare in it. You have one, but it’s good because it’s in your pants.”

Wear Everywhere: A lightweight jacket is “the frame for anything,” according to Rogers, like this versatile style he created for Macy’s. “It’s too big, so it has a little edge to it, instead of sticking out – that’s possible too,” says the clothing designer.
