Britney Spears Says She’s On A Spiritual Journey Amid DUI Plea

In his latest book, the singer reflected on the “spiritual journey” he has taken in recent weeks.

“I’m so thankful for my friends and the many wonderful new people I’ve met on my spiritual journey… all blessings in disguise,” he wrote. “I still have to learn to be kind to myself and how I talk to myself… It’s a never ending journey and sometimes I just stop, look up and say wow God I think that was you and smile!!!!”

Spears was arrested near his home on March 4, and tested positive for alcohol at .06, or below the legal limit. (The blood alcohol limit in California is 0.08% or higher for drivers 21 and older.)

“This was an unfortunate and inexcusable incident,” a spokesperson for Spears said in a statement. Her lawyer revealed that Spears will “spend time” with her two sons – Sean Preston Federline20, again Jayden James Federline19 — whom she shared with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

While still seeking treatment, Spears was charged with one count of “motor vehicle code 23152” known as driving while intoxicated on April 30.

A spokesperson for the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office confirmed that Spears will be “extended” to the “negligence” plea, where he will be “probated for 12 months” and receive “credit for any time he spends in custody.” [and be] you are required to complete a DUI class, and you must pay state-mandated fines and fees.”
