Mother Finds Haunting in Property of University of Idaho Murder Victim

The mother of a University of Idaho student who was killed Kaylee Goncalves shared a heartbreaking video online after she finally received more than a dozen boxes full of her late daughter’s belongings from federal investigators.
Kristi Goncalves‘ The voice began to break as he shared that, while looking through Kaylee’s belongings, he came across the University of Idaho shirt Kaylee was seen wearing in video footage taken outside the food truck hours before her murder.
The video was part of a live stream from Moscow, Idaho, hosted by food truck operators, Grub Truckers.
In the photo, Kaylee can be seen with her roommate and lifelong best friend, Madison Mogen. The girls are seen wandering around the truck after a night out with friends and ordering a plate of carbonara pasta. The video shows the girls smiling, laughing and talking as they wait 10 minutes for their food.
This video was recorded between 1:33 am and 1:43 am on November 13, 2022.
“I just came across the shirt he was wearing that night,” Kristi explained before holding up the wrinkled garment.
Kristi then said she found something in the sweatshirt pocket: a receipt from Kaylee’s order from the food truck.

He then opened the receipt for order #78, which showed the name of the business and a time stamp of 1:42 am.
Kristi then began to breathe into the sweatshirt and cried as she hugged him.
He explained that, in addition to the Sublime t-shirt and sweatshirt, it was the first thing Kaylee came across that he wanted in the boxes. Getting a food receipt “just takes you back to those hours, those hours before … they didn’t know what was going to happen to them.”
The Goncalves family also shared a screenshot of a message sent at 1:05 p.m. to Kaylee’s phone from the food truck drivers, asking simply, “Are you all okay?” The message was sent one minute after a text was sent around the world about the killing of students and staff at the University of Idaho.
Kaylee was 21 when she and three housemates were murdered by a graduate student at Washington State University Bryan Kohberger. In the early hours of November 13, 2022, Kohberger entered the home where Kaylee lived with Mogen, also 21, killing them and their college sweethearts.
