England’s young players will have the chance to impress manager Thomas Tuchel on Friday as they face Uruguay in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in this friendly at Wembley.

The Three Lions are in excellent form, having won their last six games, but look set to play a much changed side today. Captain Harry Kane and Arsenal stars Bukayo Saka and Declan Rice will all be rested. Players in Premier League form such as Lewis Hall, Noni Madueke and Kobbie Mainoo may get a chance to play in the 26-man squad for the World Cup.

In the away game tonight it will be a familiar face in the English game, with Marcelo Bielsa in charge of Leeds United in charge of the visitors. Bielsa will be hoping for a strong result here, after November’s 5-1 defeat by the USMNT put question marks over his future as La Celeste’s head coach.

England will face Uruguay at Wembley Stadium in north London Friday, March 27. Kick off is scheduled 7:45 pm GMT local time. That makes it a 3:45 pm ET or 12:45 pm PT starting in the US and Canada. For Australian viewers, the game continues on 6:45am AEDT on Saturday morning.

How to watch England vs Uruguay match online from anywhere using a VPN

If you’re traveling abroad and want to keep up with friendly international action while away from home, a VPN can help improve your privacy and security when streaming.

It encrypts your traffic and prevents your internet service provider from throttling your speed, and can be useful when connecting to public Wi-Fi networks while traveling, adding an extra layer of security to your devices and logins. VPNs are legal in many countries, including the US and Canada, and can be used for legitimate purposes such as improving online privacy and security.

However, some streaming services may have policies that restrict the use of a VPN to access region-specific content. If you’re considering a VPN for streaming, check the platform’s terms of service to ensure compliance.

If you choose to use a VPN, follow the provider’s installation instructions, ensure that you are connected securely and comply with applicable laws and service agreements. Some streaming platforms may block access when a VPN is detected, so make sure your streaming subscription allows VPN use.
