President Trump insists MAGA ‘loves’ his war with Iran: ‘MAGA people are smart’

President Donald Trump said the Make America Great Again foundation “loves” his aggressive military campaign against Iran in a wide-ranging interview on “The Five.” Thursday.
“MAGA likes the fact that they’re not going to have someone with a nuclear bomb over their head,” Trump said on “The Five.”
“We have weak, or stupid, or low IQ people who don’t care that Iran has a nuclear weapon. MAGA people are smart.”

The president cited a recent NBC News poll that measured GOP support for the conflict, which found that 90% of MAGA Republicans support the war, while 5% oppose it.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld pressed Trump on how he’s dealing with the concerns of some MAGA voters as his war with Iran approaches the one-month mark.
“Let’s say they voted for you thinking that there would be no wars and this happens, and it doesn’t match their wishes. What would you say to them?” Gutfeld asked.

“You can’t let a crazy man, or you can’t let a crazy idea, have a nuclear weapon,” he replied.
Trump said the US strikes on Iran were necessary to prove America’s military power and help the world.
“With to keep our country beautiful, I said, ‘We’re going to take a short cut, we’re going to show everyone that no one is coming close to us militarily – no one is coming close. We have very large weapons. We have a very strong military,’” he said.

According to an NBC poll, which was analyzed mainly by CNN, 54% of Republicans who do not identify as MAGA, support the Iran War, while about 36% oppose it – underscoring the disagreement about Trump’s war stance between different corners of the GOP.

The poll also found that 30% of Americans identify as MAGA, and Trump said the organization now represents the entire Republican Party.
“I think MAGA is almost entirely the Republican Party, you want to know the truth,” he said. “Almost every single person I recommend wins.”
The president also emphasized that MAGA supporters support his foreign policy, saying that his popularity is higher than before.

“I think I’m more popular than ever. Look, when he heard 100%, he said, ‘I’ve never seen a poll like this. This is the craziest poll I’ve ever seen.’ It was 100% of the people. “
