Alan Ritchson defends himself, will not face criminal charges after brutal fight with neighbor: police

Alan Ritchson will not face criminal charges after his altercation with his neighbor was caught on camera.
Authorities determined the actor, 43, was acting in self-defense and the investigation into the incident with his neighbor Ronnie Taylor in Brentwood, Tenn., has been closed.
“After reviewing the available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities have determined that no charges will be filed. Mr. Ritchson’s actions were determined to be self-defense,” Brentwood Police Captain Steven Pepin told The Hollywood Reporter.
Pepin also said that the “Reacher” star refused to press charges against Taylor.
“Although a charge of reckless endangerment was being considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to pursue charges,” he said. “With the agreement of the District Attorney’s Office, the case has been closed, no further action will be taken.”
Ritchson’s attorney did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Ritchson and Taylor’s argument happened on Sunday as two young boys – who appear to be two of the actor’s three sons with his wife, Catherine – watched from their motorbikes.
Ritchson punched Taylor — who was kneeling on the ground — multiple times, in shocking video obtained by TMZ.
Taylor told TMZ that the dispute stemmed from an incident on Saturday, saying the actor was repeatedly driving his motorcycle down their street.
“Then on Sunday, when I was cleaning my bike outside my house, he drove by once, twice, and the second time, I got out in front of him, and I said, ‘You’ve got to stop, somebody’s going to get hurt,'” Taylor recalled.
Taylor said it quickly escalated from there, and he admitted to pushing the actress twice.
“I think the second he got off his bike, he kicked me,” he said. “He hit me on the back of my head [and] I went down and covered myself.”
On Tuesday, a three-minute video was uploaded to TikTok, which appears to have captured the incident with a body camera strapped to Ritchson’s chest — however, Page Six could not confirm the clip’s authenticity.
In the video, Taylor jumped into the middle of the road to stop Ritchson and two children from riding motorcycles, causing the actor to fall from his car.
The two then got into a heated argument, after which Ritchson got back on his motorcycle and revved the engine several times, asking Taylor to “f–king move” out of his way.
But Taylor refused to do so and pushed the bike with Ritchson twice, leading Ritchson to push Taylor to the ground, before punching and kicking him.
Ritchson declined to discuss the incident in an interview with the Daily Mail on Monday, but later posted a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte on Instagram that read, “Never disturb your enemy when he makes a mistake.”
