As the hunt reached seven weeks on Sunday, the family of Nancy Guthrie, 84, “desires” renewed attention “as they search for answers and their mother, missing since February 1.
“We are asking the community to pay attention to our mother’s case again – please look at the camera, photos, journal notes, text messages, comments, or conversations that may be of value,” wrote “The Guthrie Family: Camron and Kristine, Annie and Tommaso, Savannah and Michael” in an Instagram post Saturday night.
“No detail is too small. It could be the key,” the statement, shared on NBC’s “Today” and KVOA’s Instagram pages, read.
The family described the “significant moments” of Jan. 31, the last night the mother of the host of “Tonight” Savannah Guthrie was seen alive, “in the early morning” of February 1, when Nancy Guthrie was reported missing, and “in the evening” on Jan. 11. The importance of the latter day may be linked to the image of the door mask that is revealed on his door relative to the door.

“We miss our mother with every breath, and we will not be able to have peace until she is home,” the statement concluded. “We can’t be sad; we’re just sad and wondering. We’re only focused on finding him and bringing him home.
“We want to celebrate his good life and courage, but we will not do that until he is brought to his final resting place,” the statement said. “Thank you for continuing to pray without ceasing.”
The family said they believe there is someone in the community who has sensitive information, even if they have not yet realized its importance. In their statement, the Guthries wrote, “You know something,” and added, “No detail is too small. It could be the key.”
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of neighbors, friends and people of Tucson,” the statement, posted just before midnight ET, began. “We’re all family now.”

“We continue to believe that Tucsonans, and the welcoming community of Southern Arizona, hold the key to finding a solution to this case,” the statement said. “You know something. It’s possible that a member of this community has information that they don’t even know is important.”
Nancy Guthrie disappeared on the night of Jan. 31 after dinner with family and was reported missing on Feb. 1 after going to church.
Since then, investigators have released video of the alleged abductor from his doorstep and are asking residents within two miles of his home in the Catalina Foothills to review and submit any unusual footage recorded between Jan. 1 and Feb. 2.
Investigators also looked into reports tied to a masked alien seen on doorbell cameras and ransom demands involving cryptocurrency. TMZ reported one of the messages described as a “very sophisticated” ransom demand and was sent to the FBI. The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department are continuing to investigate the alleged kidnapping.
