Arizona Dad Missing For Months Likely Killed, Family Says

Relatives of an Arizona father who has been missing for months say they believe he was murdered.
Kyle Smith he was last heard from on July 14, 2025, when he was talking to his wife on a cell phone. His family told later in the Arizona Republic that his phone was found in front of Country Gables Park, and Smith, 26, has not been found.
Smith’s mother, Kristen Clineyou have been told the Republic On Tuesday, March 10, detectives informed her that the son was being linked as a victim in what appeared to be a homicide at the park.
Cline said authorities found a large amount of blood at the scene, although Smith’s body has not been recovered.
“We are still trying to bring him home, he just needs him to come home and my heart cannot rest until he is here with us,” she said.
It is not yet clear whether the police know anything about the blood found in the park or whether they have any suspicions about what happened at the scene.
A spokesperson for the Phoenix Police Department Jennifer Zak told the outlet on Friday, March 13, that Smith’s missing persons case is open and active. In addition, Zak said he could not confirm whether Smith was dead or not.
Cline also told the media that police do not suspect any family members of being involved in Smith’s disappearance or death.
Before he went missing, Smith was looking forward to the birth of his first son in early September 2025. Family members say his disappearance is very confusing because he was planning to restart his life from drinking to be a present father to his son and two daughters.
Cline went on to tell the newspaper that he was sad that Smith’s children would grow up without their father. He mentioned that the experience will be similar to his own, as Smith also lost his father when he was young.

Smith’s neighbors were also asked to review the doorbell and security camera in case they were able to find any information that could help the investigation.
Smith’s loved ones described him well, remembering him as “fierce” and “honest.” He was also remembered for loving “his family deeply” in a tribute viewed by the outlet.
Two memorials have been erected in Smith’s honor after the family alleges he was murdered. His friends and family gathered on Saturday night, March 14, at the Roadrunner Restaurant and Saloon for the first memorial, with the second also taking place on the night of March 14 at Bull Shooters.
