As a South Florida native, I grew up thriving in the summer. I love almost everything about the warm season, but at the top of the list is all the fun, breezy fashion. The only problem? I’m a petite girl at 5’2″, which means flowy dresses can drag down or look ridiculous on my short stature. I’ve scoured page after page to put together the ultimate little girl-approved summer outfit guide featuring midi dresses, swingy numbers and big-hitting maxis. Us shorties just fine. 1. What I like: Specially designed for petite shoppers, this tiered maxi dress hits the ankles for a perfect fit. It’s probably one of the only maxi dresses you’ll have in your closet that fits your frame.
2. Runner up: There’s nothing better than feeling cool like a cucumber on a hot summer day, which is why I’m looking at this high neck midi dress made of 100% linen. The breathability factor alone makes this pick a must-have.
3. Daily Relief: Whether you’re hitting the beach or lounging at home, this swing dress is perfect for work. The short hem will hit near the knee, and goes well with anything from strappy sandals to comfy sneakers. The striped print is also Nantucket!

12. Ready for Marriage: Wedding guest dresses are notoriously difficult to buy. Trust me, I will know you as a bridesmaid in my friend’s upcoming wedding. Skip the tailor and opt for this stretchy silk midi dress that will fit petite ladies perfectly.
