Kim Zolciak is one step closer to ending the custody battle with Kroy Biermann

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have signed a temporary stay-at-home deal as their ongoing custody battle continues.

The couple sat down for a mediation session last week to work out interim details, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

Their tumultuous separation has dragged on for over two years now, but this time may be one step towards finalizing their divorce.

Representatives for Zolciak and Biermann could not immediately be reached for comment.

They remarried, tied the knot in November 2011 and called it quits after 12 years.

Zolciak and Biermann have six children: Brielle, 28, Ariana, 23, Kroy Jagger “KJ,” 13, Kash Kade, 12, and twins Kaia and Kane, 11. The athlete officially welcomed Brielle and Ariana in July 2013.

The “RHOA” alum said Biermann was the father who died in June 2025, but two months later he filed for sole custody of the children. Instagram

Since the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum filed for divorce in May 2023, the country’s leaders have been suing each other in shocking fashion and each has been plagued by financial problems.

Zolciak, 47, publicly accused his ex-girlfriend of being a deadbeat dad when he appeared on Kristin Cavallari’s “Let’s Be Honest” podcast tour in June 2025, saying he hadn’t provided for their children financially or paid for “years.”

Although Zolciak claims to be the sole breadwinner for their children, the 40-year-old woman filed for sole custody of her children in August 2025.

In a filing obtained by Us Weekly, Biermann accused the reality star of “emotionally and mentally” abusing the children and said he often left them alone without “proper parental guidance.”

Before their latest meeting, the custody arrangement in place – which they agreed upon after they were forced out of their Georgia mansion by US Marshals in April – saw the former students have two children at all times, one week on, one week off.

However, due to the “significant lack of structure and accountability” in Zolciak’s home, the former NFL star argued that “their separate/shared arrangement is not in the best interests of the children.”

Since their split, the KAB Cosmetics founder has moved on with businessman Kyle Mowitz, who is also currently in a contentious divorce.

The couple was first linked in March 2025.

However, Biermann appeared to be trying to blow the whistle on their romance when he reportedly reached out to Mowitz’s estranged wife, Jillian Green, and warned her that Zolciak was “going to drain Kyle financially.”
