Why Bethenny Frankel refused to join the ‘Golden Life’ Housewives show

Bethenny Frankel is “protective [her] silence” by staying away from E!’s “Real Housewives of New York City” reboot.
Bravolebrity, 55, explained to her Instagram followers on Tuesday that joining “Golden Life” would not be “good for business.”
He commented, “It was good when I was promoting my business. But now that I’m working with a lot of other brands and I have different types of equity deals with my partners, they don’t look too much into that brand. They like to say it behind the scenes.”
Frankel, moreover, predicted that other actresses – Dorinda Medley, Sonja Morgan, Luann de Lesseps and Ramona Singer – would end up resenting him.
“Even though some women were asking if I would come back, the money I would take to come back – which E! will probably never pay – would make other Housewives very angry with me, which has happened before,” she said.
“I am very happy for these women and I want them to succeed [and] success and I want the program to do well,” continued Frankel while making coffee.
The Skinnygirl creator went on to call the show “a bad, awesome move by E!” before sharing his final reason for staying on air.
“I love my life now,” said the former star. “I like not to do whatever someone else tells me to do or be where someone else tells me to be.”
He concluded, “Protecting my peace and this stage of life is very important to me.”
Representatives for Medley, Morgan, de Lesseps and Singer did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Page Six broke the news in January that the E! the show was in the works.
While Jill Zarin was connected to the series at the time, the 62-year-old has been axed for her Super Bowl LX halftime performance.
A businesswoman slammed Bad Bunny’s record-breaking performance last month, calling it the “worst … ever” for being in Spanish and featuring “literally white people.”
Zarin defended himself after the release of “The Golden Life,” which will begin filming later this year.
He told InTouch that the network did not “give [her] opportunity,” he insisted, “I dropped them right away. People make mistakes. I am human.”
We then report that Medley, 61, is set to join.
