Bianca Censori On Kanye West Marriage, Antisemitism
Since late 2022, Kanye West, now known as Ye, is married to Bianca Censori, an Australian artist and architect. And though we certainly did we have seen many of Bianca’s past years, we have never heard her speak in public – until now.
Marking her first ever in-depth interview, Bianca recently sat down with Vanity Fair to talk about her career, her relationships, and setting the record straight on some misconceptions.
From the top, the profile explains that Bianca and Ye met in 2020 when she found his job online and offered him a job as “head of construction” at Yeezy. Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Ye in February 2021, and after this, Bianca explained that she and Ye were dating “intimately.”
“It’s just working together. You spend a lot of time with someone. So we’ll be on the phone together or both of us all the time… We’re very similar,” she said, going on to talk about her position as a self-proclaimed “nepo’s wife” who is “commonly famous.” “I didn’t marry my husband because I wanted some kind of platform. I married him because I loved him. Is that like the most painful thing?”
He denied the abuse claims, and in January 2026, he shared an open letter in the Wall Street Journal, apologizing for his controversial remarks and saying that his bipolar disorder was the cause of his erratic behavior. “I am deeply sorry and remorseful for my actions in that situation, and I am committed to accountability, healing and meaningful change,” he wrote. However, it does not excuse what I did. I am not a Nazi or an anti-Semitic person.
Through all of this, Bianca never spoke, which gave some the impression that she might have been standing up to her husband’s offensive views. When asked about this in her VF interview, Bianca said that she wants to publicly clarify her position, but she needs to prioritize Ye’s well-being, rather than the public’s opinion of her.
“I wasn’t thinking about the PR purge. I was really focused on him and me,” he said, clarifying that he is not anti-Semitic and thinks “the fact that anti-Semitism is normal is scary.” “In my mind, I was like, OK, we’re finally going to have this conversation. I’m going to have a chance to tell you that I’m not anti-Semitic.”
After a heated exchange from Ye in February 2025, reports said that he and Bianca were divorcing. And as recently as last month, insiders told People “Bianca was unhappy in their marriage” and “tried to leave several times.” Speaking for herself, Bianca confirmed that there were times when she felt she needed to leave the marriage, but now she thinks those feelings were “at a high level.”
“He just met a rabbi. You know, he has to go through his process on how to fix that, and I’m here to support him and love him and be with him. I love him so much. We’re like the same person,” she said of her husband, before appearing to “tear up.” “All I can do is stay there and help. This year has been a lot like doing CPR for months. I have love and compassion for him to be able to do that, and I understand that the world can’t.”
Just before those reports of a divorce in February 2025, Ye and Bianca made headlines when she arrived at the Grammys in a skimpy dress with nothing underneath. This certainly wasn’t the first time she stepped out looking NSFW; however, due to her silence in the public eye, Bianca’s independence was questioned, with people asking: Do you control him? Are you really happy doing this?
Regarding this, Bianca said: “I wouldn’t do something I don’t want to do,” clarifying that her public nudity is her choice. “My husband and I were fixing my clothes together,” she explained. So it was like a collaboration, I was never ‘told to do something’…If you were married to Gianni Versace, wouldn’t he give you a dress or something?”
Amidst all the online comments surrounding her revealing outfits, Bianca recalls only one instance where she felt truly embarrassed by the media coverage of her, citing the time she and Ye were accused of engaging in a sexual act in a Venice water taxi in broad daylight. Denying that this was the case, Bianca said, “I was starting to feel really embarrassed, I felt ashamed because of my father.”
Towards the end of the interview, Bianca revealed that she and Ye hope to have children, although she’s not sure when the “right time” is. She already shares four children – North, 12, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, and Psalm, 6 – with Kim, who has publicly said she is not in their lives. Bianca denied this, describing him as an “amazing father”, who, like her, is concerned about the privacy of her children in Los Angeles.
