Former NASCAR driver Chase Pistone died at the age of 42, his family confirmed on Monday, March 2. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
“Well, my younger brother and best friend is gone,” his older brother, Nick Pistonehe wrote on Facebook on Monday. “I’m heartbroken and I don’t know if I’ll ever get over this. I already miss you Chase and I hope you’re in a better place. I love you and miss you so much!!!!!!!!
In addition to NASCAR, Chase was also involved in the creation of legendary cars and racing and late model car racing.
“Chase was not only a wheeled driver in Legends and Late Models, but his Chase Pistone Inc. Legends team was a force to be reckoned with every time he showed up on the track, and often walked away with the winner’s trophy,” legendary car news paper Legends Nation recalled of the late driver in the X-shared seat.
“I was a huge fan of hers and loved her so much,” Nick told the outlet.
Nick and his other siblings, Tomalso asked Legends Nation to submit Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
The brothers are the grandsons of a former NASCAR Cup Series winner “Tiger” Tom Pistone. Chase began racing at age 6, growing up to compete in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series from 2005 to 2014.

“I’ve been feeling..,” Wallace, 32, wrote on X on Monday. “I woke up Sunday morning at 2am without sleeping.. I came across an old song that moved me. I realized later at 2:00 when the incident happened in Austin.”
He continued, “The guy I raced with in the legendary cars took his life today.
“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of our friend Chase Pistone,” RFK Racing’s Brian Murphy he added X. “He was not only a talented runner but a true mentor who poured his time, knowledge, and love into the next generation.”
Chase’s sister, Phaedra Pistonehe also asked Hickory Motor Speedway, which is near Chase’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina, to honor him during the local races this weekend.

“Chase had a deep connection to Hickory Motor Speedway, and the racing community meant a lot to him,” Phaedra wrote, according to NBC News. “The track wasn’t just a place for him – it was part of his life, his love, and a place full of precious memories for our entire family.”
In a statement to NBC, Hickory Motor Speedway general manager Kevin Piercy he wrote that the center will do “everything possible to honor the family’s wishes and honor his memory before the race this Saturday night.”
“Chase was always fun and a joy to be around. I appreciate the support and love we both have for Hickory Motor Speedway,” Piercy said. “He will be missed.”
