Team USA’s Hilary Knight, Brittany Bowe Engaged for 2026 Olympics

Team USA athletes Hilary Knight again Brittany Bowe they traded Olympic rings for engagement rings.

Knight, 36, and Bowe, 37, announced their engagement in a sweet Instagram video on Wednesday, February 18.

In the clip, Knight — the captain of Team USA’s women’s hockey team — got down on one knee and presented the ring inside a red velvet box to Bowe, the gold medal-winning speedskater. Bowe nodded “yes” as Knight stood up and put the ring on the finger of his new fiancée.

The video ended with a shot of Knight and Bowe smiling at each other as Bowe showed off his ring to the camera.

“The Olympics brought us together,” the couple captioned a joint post. “This one has made us eternal.”

Knight and Bowe first crossed paths at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games, but it wasn’t until the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics that the two fell in love after spending time together in the Olympic Village.

“It was a great way to get to know him, to walk around, to get out of our rooms,” Knight told Olympics.com. “Having human contact, and going outside far away, was really cool.”

Bowe added that they had been “inseparable” ever since.

The 2026 Milano Cortina Games mark Knight’s fifth and final Olympics. He received a gold medal in 2018 and silver in 2010, 2014 and 2022. Knight and Team USA will take on Canada in the women’s hockey gold medal game on Thursday, February 19.

Bowe also wraps up his Olympic career after the 2026 Winter Games, his fourth Olympics. She won bronze in 2018 in the women’s team pursuit and bronze in 2022 in the women’s 1000 meters.

Bowe finished fourth in the 1000 meters and the women’s team pursuit in Milan. His final event will be the 1500 meters on Thursday.

Bowe and Knight are the third couple to get engaged at the 2026 Olympics.

Meanwhile, the Team USA alpine ski racer team and the gold medal Breezy Johnson got engaged Connor Watkins at the Olympic finish line in Cortina d’Ampezzo on Thursday, February 12. The wedding took place after Johnson, 30, crashed on the super-G course.

“You’ve worked so hard and achieved so much, yet you still find time to love me, make me feel special, and most importantly, help me love myself,” Watkins said during the sweet exchange, Today the show. “There’s only one way I want to spend the rest of my life, and that’s by your side. I love you. Will you marry me?”

Johnson later revealed his ring Today.

“When you make mistakes like that in a ski race, you feel stupid … To see him [at the bottom of the mountain] it was really fun,” he said.

Watkins added, “He got up after the crash and he was fine, and that was a relief. And my heart started pounding because I knew I was going to get down on one knee and propose.”
