Taylor Frankie Paul thanks fans for supporting him after ABC canceled his season of The Bachelorette amid allegations of domestic violence.

ABC announced on Thursday, March 19, that Taylor’s season of The Bachelorette was canceled during the release of the video demonstration Secret Lives of Mormon Wives physically abusive star ex Dakota Mortensen. The season was supposed to premiere on Sunday, March 18.

In another statement, Taylor’s representative responded to the cancellation of her season of The Bachelorette.

“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes the safety and security of her family,” the statement read. “After years of silent mental and physical abuse and threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally finding the strength to confront the accuser and take steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

The statement continued, “Too many women suffer in silence as they survive violent, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives. Taylor is silent for fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
