Amazon has announced the return of its Big Spring Sale, and the headphone deals are heating up along with the weather.

This will be the third year Amazon is hosting the sale, and while the giant retailer is emphasizing spring-worthy deals (think outdoor furniture, cleaning supplies, and robotic vacuums), the past two years of sales show that other tech deals are being thrown into the mix.

Although the week-long sale doesn’t officially start until March 25, I did my rounds as one of Mashable’s headphone experts to find more than 20 deals that, while not officially bound for sale, offer savings worthy of the Spring Sale. By far, the best savings come from Sony headphones, but brands like Beats, Shokz, and Apple are also starting to show up with some solid deals.

Before you pay $450 for AirPods Max for saleI recommend you check out the Beats Studio Pro headphones. Of course, you’ll have to give up the Maxes’ impressive design, but in his testing of these headphones, Mashable contributor Alex Bracetti found the Studio Pros’ ANC to be on par with more expensive headphones. On the sound quality front, Bracetti said the Pros’ specs are even better at producing a tight and clear soundscape. Retailing for $169.95, these headphones are cheaper than the Max you can buy twice and still have over $100 left over.

As much as I love a good pair of premium earbuds, I don’t like the idea of ​​paying over $200 for ANC quality and sound when you can get them much, much cheaper. For everyday use, I often find myself reaching for the Sony WF-C710N earbuds. They have excellent battery life, a compact case for easy portability, really strong ANC, and a rounded sound profile worthy of the Sony name. Bracetti called them the best Sony earbuds you can get under $100 (on sale), and I’m free to say they’re some of the best earbuds under $100, period.

Why we love you

People love the Bose Ultra Open earbuds, but the Sony LinkBuds Clip are more comfortable, sound better at least, and cost about $70 full price. When they’re on sale, they’re over $100 cheaper than the Bose Ultra earbuds. Mashable contributor Simon Cohen picked these earbuds as a Mashable Selects winner, meaning they’re one of our favorite products we’ve tried. This $198 sale price marks their biggest discount yet, and the first time they’ve dropped below $200. For earbuds that just launched in January, that’s not too bad.
