Sienna Miller Says It’s ‘Easy’ to Have a Baby in Her 40s

Sienna Miller she’s currently expecting her third child — and says getting pregnant at 40 is “the best.”

Miller, 44, opened up about her pregnancy in an interview with It’s a luxury published on Monday, March 23, notes that it is “easier” to get pregnant in her 40s than in her 20s.

“Since you’ve had a child at 29, you’ve had a child at 42, now you’re 44, it’s a lot easier when you don’t have the conflict of feeling scattered and like you want to do X, Y, Z,” he explained. “If I’m in bed at 9 at night with a book, I’m much happier now. And now I have an excuse to do it. Life is in a tight spot. I think the 30s are a mess. You’re like, ‘I want to settle down. I want kids.’

Miller is currently expecting her third child, her second with her boyfriend Oli Green. Their first child, a girl, arrived in December 2023. The actress also shares daughter Marlowe, 13, with her lover. Tom Sturridge.

“When you get to 40, you’re like, ‘I know who I am. I’m a very stable person,'” she said. We don’t judge 80-year-old men with children. Why in the world is there some kind of narrative?”

Miller noted that she froze her eggs — which she called a “really revealing” process — but did not use them.

“Fortunately I was able to get pregnant, but it was a relief when I did that in my late 30s,” she commented before reminding fans not to worry about how “old” they are. “When we’re 60, we’ll be like, ‘God, I’m 40 and I’m old.’ It’s an oversubscribed narrative, and it’s a way to monetize our insecurity, and we have to stop it.”

She added, “And it’s lucky. You’re lucky when you’re growing. And pregnancy and growing up, I think it’s a biohack. You get all those hormones, you get all that blood. It’s great. I’m all for it.”

Miller and Green, 29, began dating in 2021. She previously defended their 15-year age gap, joking that she initially found her age “annoying” but soon “fell in love.”
