Judging by the deals I’ve seen, this is a good time to pick up a new one cordless vacuum. Almost all of Shark’s cordless models are available at a deep discount, including CNET’s all-time best, the Shark Stratos, and our pick for best cordless vacuum cleaner, the Shark Clean & Empty.

The Shark Stratos is one of the best cordless vacuums we’ve tested

Usually $500 for full price, you can get Shark Stratos with a full $200 discount, we’re bringing it down to just $300. The Shark Stratos received high marks in CNET’s lab tests. It has strong suction on all types of floors, with 97.2% sand pick-up on hardwood floors. It also has an equally impressive pick-up, with 94% of waste from pile carpet and 94.4% from medium carpet.
“Stratos is the standout,” said Schylar Breitenstein, an associate lab technician who put Stratos through its paces. “I use it to clean the floor between pick-up tests because it picks up so much debris.”
The Shark Stratos has active LED lights to help it catch dust.
I also used the Stratos a lot during my visits to the lab. As a pet owner with three cats who shed like a hobby, I really like the brushread, which Shark calls the DuoClean PowerFines HairPro. It’s dual-brush system allows it to dig deep into the carpet to remove dust and pet hair, and the self-cleaning brush also resists tangles.
Other neat features include automatic dirt detection and suction adjustment, optional scent capsules that release a pleasant scent while you clean, and 80-minute battery life that’s fun for long runs.
Shark Clean & Empty saves you from emptying the trash
Shark Clean and Empty is one of the few that will come with a self emptying station.
Another disadvantage of the Shark Stratos is that, despite its strong cleaning performance, you need to empty the waste by hand. Shark Clean & Empty solves this problem by including an empty docking station. It empties the dustbin and charges the vacuum after each use, and delivers similar cleaning performance to the Stratos (although its battery doesn’t last as long). It usually costs $350, but during the Amazon Spring sale, you can get it Clean and Empty for just $250.
