Daryl Hannah’s friend Rosanna Arquette opposes the portrayal of former JFK Jr. ‘bulls–t’ in ‘Love Story’
Rosanna Arquette has fiercely defended her friend Daryl Hannah after she was portrayed as a “bull–t” on “Love Story.”
“I love Daryl Hannah,” the “Pulp Fiction” star wrote on Instagram Sunday alongside a photo with her co-star.
“His portrayal on television is bulls-t. His romance with John F Kennedy Jr. was real and some of the happiest moments John F Kennedy Jr. had – Just ask his family. But no one did.”
Arquette, 66, described Hannah, 65, as “a beautiful woman, a great actress, writer, director and environmental activist.”
“He is also an animal whistleblower,” he added. “His career in the world was epic.”
The actress rushed to her friend’s defense after Hannah hit out at the Ryan Murphy-produced series.wShe was romantically linked again from 1988 to 1994 with Kennedy Jr., before moving on to Carolyn Bessette.
In a New York Times story, Hannah, played by Dree Hemingway, criticized the show as exploitative, saying “[It] it has an actor who uses my name and introduces him as me.”
The “Wall Street” star shared that he was portrayed as “annoying, selfish.” [and] whiny” and insisted that the show “isn’t far from accurate [her] health, [her] conduct or [her] relationship with John.”
Additionally, the director insisted that he never used cocaine or pressured anyone into marriage, adding, “I never put a story in the press. I never compared the death of Jacqueline Onassis to a dog.”
Hannah said she also “received a lot of hostile and threatening messages from viewers who seem to believe the revelations are true.”
The “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” star and Kennedy Jr.’s relationship. they officially ended after the death of his dog and the late lawyer’s mother, Jackie Onassis, in 1994.
Kennedy Jr. was walking a dog in New York City when he was hit by a car.
The politician is said to have been “very angry with Hannah” when he forced her to fly from New York to California to attend his dog’s funeral when Onassis died of cancer.
Kennedy Jr. he began dating Bessette after he and Hannah split in 1994 and tied the knot two years later. The couple and Bessette’s sister, Lauren, died in a 1999 plane crash.
As for Hannah, she married rocker Neil Young in 2018.
