Elizabeth Castravet’s 90-Day Cause of Death Revealed Chuck Potthast

It is reported that the cause of his death has been revealed 90 Day Partner star Elizabeth “Libby” Castrovetfather of Chuck Potthast.
Potthast died at the age of 64 from severe injuries to his face and neck after falling in the bathtub, according to the Hillsborough County, Florida, medical examiner’s autopsy report obtained by. TMZ on Friday, February 13. His injuries reportedly included facial lacerations and a broken C6 vertebra. Additionally, the report lists positional asphyxia as a factor, according to the source.
The medical examiner reportedly listed chronic alcohol use, cirrhosis and alcoholism as contributing causes.
Us Weekly reached out to the Hillsborough County medical examiner’s office.
Castravet, 34, announced his father’s death on social media in November 2025.
“Two weeks ago, a tragedy struck our family and it left us completely devastated,” he wrote. “My dear, loving, caring father has gone to heaven. We are trying to figure out how to live and move forward without him. Please respect our privacy during this very difficult time.”
Potthast was often seen around Elizabeth on 90 Day Partner season 5 and many seasons of 90 Day Boyfriend: Happily Ever After?as these plays wrote about Elizabeth’s relationship with her husband Andrei Castravet.
Elizabeth’s sister Becky Potthastwho also makes an appearance at 90 Day Partner Franchise, he also paid taxes to Chuck online.

“Two weeks ago on this day, my world was turned to a place I don’t understand,” he wrote. “My dad Chuck went home to be with the Lord. The pain is more than I can bear so this is all I can write.”
In an update shared on Instagram a few weeks after Chuck’s death, Elizabeth wrote, “I’ve never faced anything as difficult as grief before. Andrei and I are doing everything we can to make sure our kids are always happy and functioning normally. I try to think about doing the things we usually do but I find myself guilty. I try to smile and feel better, but honestly I’m hurting deep down.”
Chuck opened up about his health problems and talked about them 90 Day Partner as his family members face separation from each other.
“The Lord did not spare my life to see my family broken like this,” he once told Elizabeth, encouraging her family to repair their relationship in therapy.
Additionally, in a September 2025 update shared on social media, Chuck said he had long-term surgery.
“My surgery was supposed to take three to four hours to repair the hernia that I had previously had cancer,” he explained. “When they got in there, they saw that the wall of my stomach was completely destroyed, they had to fix it, and they did that.”
Chuck said his surgery ended up being eight hours long.
“The benefit is that I have a stomach ache now, which is fine,” he joked before concluding, “I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It really helped me get through it.”
