Race opponents are trying to make Carmelo Anthony the victim, rather than the killer he is

A beautiful young life was ended in the most senseless way – stabbed in the heart in a place that should have been completely safe: a high school song convention.

And the guy who looks like he once promised to go to prison for 35 years for stabbing her to death.

It really cannot be more depressing than the case of Austin Metcalf, who was killed by Carmelo Anthony in 2025.

But because Metcalf was white, and Anthony was black, this has become a toxic stew of racial grievances, fueling an already heartbreaking story.

Throughout the trial, protesters protested outside the Collin County courthouse, saying the sentencing would be racist. On social media, some mourned Metcalf’s death, while racial tyrants like Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett tried to turn this avoidable tragedy into the racial balance of a broken nation.

“Black women live in fear and pain every day. Fear and pain, I promise you the Metcalfs probably never spent a day living that way,” she said solemnly in an episode of her podcast, “Clock It with Crockett.”

“We’re going to have to have real conversations about race in his country.”

May I suggest that the failed Senate candidate change the name of his podcast to “Crockett of s—t.”

What are we indeed the need is a discussion about education. Some of these idiots outside of court and on social media could benefit from opening a book or reading an article about this particular case. Crockett, however, is a lawyer, and willfully ignorant.

Maybe he’s auditioning to be the next Al Sharpton, but Crocket is lying like a rug.

“If a 300-pound man hits me, like over me and hits me on the ground, I don’t stop with punches,” he said, apparently saying he was going to stab him too. Except Metcalf was 200 pounds and didn’t have Anthony beating him.

This disgusting statement is simply not supported by the facts presented in the case.

Both lawyers and prosecutors said there was no racial element. Some of the witnesses who testified were black. Contrary to many reports, the jury was not all white. It is also made up of Hispanics and Asians. Black jurors who may be disqualified because of their perceived bias.

This was an open and shut case, and frankly, I’m shocked that Anthony’s side went to court and didn’t choose a plea deal. Instead, they went for a Hail Mary and tried to jokingly say they were defending themselves.

A school-approved track meeting is the last place a child should carry or carry a knife. After being asked to leave the school tent, Anthony teased Metcalf, “Touch me and see what happens.”

He should have just walked away if asked.

Instead he was met with a shove at Metcalf getting stabbed. It was dead on target, ripping a 2-inch hole in Metcalf’s heart. He bled to death in his brother’s arms.

Extremely graphic images of Metcalf’s gruesome injuries were shown at the trial, sending his family fleeing the court.

The jury deliberated for less than three hours. Anthony didn’t testify, so we don’t know what he was thinking. We have not heard of a stabbing person, who burst into tears after the verdict.

However, we do know the status of the Anthony family. Immediately after the murder, they hired a representative, whose first step was to establish the racial element.

Dominique Alexander, founder and president of the Next Generation Action Network, said the case is “yet another example of what it means to be Black in America, where even our defenses are questioned, scrutinized and politicized.”

Inside the courtroom, his mother, Kayla Hayes, pleaded with the judges to go easy on her son.

“I know my son, and he is very sorry for what he did, please have mercy on my son.

But outside the courtroom, surrounded by supportive protesters, other members of his family joined the chorus. His grandmother Toni Hayes shouted “Racism! out the car window. Are there any results in that house?”

During victim statements Austin’s twin brother, Hunter, had one request for the child, now a 19-year-old man, who took his best friend. He asked if Anthony could look him in the eye, and he reportedly said “I would really respect that.”

Anthony chose to look at his shoes.

Perhaps it is easy to believe the race runners, who try to hold him up as a symbol of injustice – a victim of systematic racism.

In fact, Anthony is the poster child for impulse control and poor decision-making. He did not answer or apologize.

And now two families are ruined. But only one of them is a victim.
