Pro-Hamas grads and more: Books

Pro-Hamas degree
New York University did the right thing in the early admissions talks (“Grads scrutinized,” Rikki Schlott, March 25).
Cheat me once, shame on you. I cheated twice, shame on me.
Pro-Hamas speakers are in the business of making fools of the NYU administration, who have shown an uncanny ability to spout anti-Semitism in their speeches.
NYU boldly decided that the original audience was not there to deal with Hitler’s bruises.

The DA is under arrest
Following the Philadelphia district attorney, Larry Krasner, trying to get cameras, when he threatened to arrest ICE at the airports, it is clear that no one informed him that if he broke the law. he he will be arrested, jailed, taken to court and, if necessary, placed in a jail cell (“Philly DA: I’ll cuff ICE,” March 26).
And don’t bet on the governor for pardoning him.

Columbus is a hero
Christopher Columbus is one of the greatest heroes in history (“A True Hero Reclaimed,” Rich Lowry, PostOpinion, March 24).
His four expeditions to terra incognita forever changed the fate of our planet, triggering the global trade of people, plants, microbes and culture (the Columbian Exchange).
Without the “Admiral of the Ocean Sea,” the most complete American union – with its tripartite government, Constitution and separation of powers – would never have come into existence.

Failure of FARE action
Good on The Post for seeing the potential connection between free market housing reaching something historic, and the arrival of the FARE Act: a gift from politicians who “help” residents while having little understanding of the market (“Record high rents,” March 22).
Homeowners in a market with a 2% vacancy rate passing costs on to them?
Never!
I am sure that this is also hurting the lives of real estate agents and hard working sellers.
When have politicians ever apologized or reversed the unintended consequences of their actions?
Never.

E-bike nonsense
Nassau County’s new noise about banning bikes and scooters is a campaign ad under the color of law and should be fixed by our courts as soon as possible (“ie-bike curb in Nassau,” March 23).
Pretending that the law says what it is not is fraud, as is the baseless claim of providing “safety” for police harassment of transit workers.
Such things are not suitable for a person who will be elected to the position of the governor of the country.

Power of Ukraine
Your plan for Ukraine is right on the money, and I hope President Trump is reading (“Ukraine Service for Civilization,” Editorial, March 26).
The damage that Ukraine is causing to the Russian military is helping America all over the world, from Iran to Cuba.
Ukraine has also provided the United States with unparalleled drone technology that our president inexplicably disrespects.
If Trump doesn’t come around to recognizing that Russia is the enemy, then the Ukrainian people will need to fight until he is out of office, and they will.
