Southern Charm‘s Olivia’s flowers and her boyfriend, Alex Williamsthey surprisingly called off their marriage in October 2025 but stayed together amid the difficult decision.
Flower met Williams after the two attended a wedding in Texas in 2023. After hooking up at the event, the pair started dating and got engaged in September 2024 but called off the wedding a year later.
“After much thought and many heartfelt conversations, Olivia and her fiance Alex have made the difficult decision not to proceed with their marriage,” reads a statement shared on Instagram by Cabin Creative Flowers in October 2025.
The message added that Flowers and Williams “remain devoted to each other with a renewed sense of clarity, strength and appreciation for respecting the human heart.”

Olivia Flowers and Alex Williams began dating in May 2023 after meeting at a wedding.
“After arriving late to the wedding (and tripping on the church steps) I was met by a beautiful usher to take me to my seat,” Flowers shared on Instagram in May 2024 honoring the couple’s first anniversary. “Later, the same assistant asked my boyfriend (my father) if he could dance with me… A year later we are still dancing 🪩 (and tripping up the stairs). We are happy on the 5th stage holding on.”

Alex Williams got down on one knee and proposed to Oliver Flowers after two years of dating.

Two months after the engagement, Olivia Flowers was only told Us Weekly that the wedding planning was “big.”
“We’re just basking in the joy of being engaged at the moment,” she explained, noting that she was “just hitting it big” at the time.

Cabin Creative Flowers’ Instagram revealed in a statement that Olivia Flowers and Alex Williams are “not moving forward with their marriage.”
“Alex and Olivia remain committed to each other with a new sense of clarity, strength and appreciation for respecting the human heart,” the message read. “He greatly appreciates your grace and mercy as they walk together through this transition.”
Olivia Flowers Explained Her Thoughts on Canceling the Wedding
In February 2026, Olivia Flowers opened up about why she and Alex Williams didn’t go ahead with their marriage.
“It was a decision that we made together and honestly, we had a lot of stress about the post-wedding stuff and I think we were setting a wedding planning goal like, ‘Oh that’s why we’re stressed,'” Flowers said during an appearance on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast. “But it’s been three weeks since the wedding, the wedding is over, it’s over and we still feel depressed.” So we had a lot of difficult conversations, but they were important and we realized that we were both feeling stressed and nervous about things after marriage.”
Flowers added that he and Williams were taking a “beat” to get back on the same page while both focused on their careers.
“We can hit it off for a while and get back in tune with each other and what we want to do,” he explained. “The wedding was very big, and as fun as I planned it, it turned out to be a little late for me. And it’s a celebration, a party for everyone and all our people and we love that, but for us it’s a step that goes into eternity and we take it very seriously.”

Olivia Flowers and Alex Williams are still dating and the decision to call off the wedding has strengthened their connection.
“It’s a high point in the relationship,” he said in February 2026. “There’s a new place of authenticity and just, like, talking to each other. That’s how we came to a decision, it’s like, ‘Something’s not right here.’ And we see the disconnect that we had. … So by taking the time, we prioritize communication.”
The flowers also revealed that one day there would be a ceremony.
“You’re definitely learning as you go, and the great thing about it is that I’m going to go back and do it again,” he explained. “I see it’s very close, but being dressed and all that, I don’t think it matters that much. I want three changes of clothes.”
