Obituary for Mary Cosby’s Son Robert Explains Their Bond

The corpse of Mary Cosbyson, Robert Cosby Jr.it detailed their near power.

“Robert loved his parents with a strong and unwavering devotion, and his mother was his closest confidante,” reads the online obituary. “His first and greatest love, however, was for God. He was baptized in the Name of Jesus and filled with the Holy Spirit. He was honored as the First Son of the Pentecostal Churches in the Temple of Faith.”

According to this statement, Robert’s faith “guided him throughout his life.”

“He shared his journey – its triumphs and its trials – with courage and sincerity, touching many lives,” the note said. “Recently, before his death, he told his cousin of his longing to see and meet his grandfather, Dr. Rosemary ‘Redmon’ Cosby.”

Rosemary, Mary’s beloved grandmother, founded Faith Temple Pentecostal Churches. Mary’s husband, Robert Cosby Sr.now he is the bishop of the church. He was previously married to Rosemary before her death in 1997. (Mary, now 53 years old, followed Rosemary’s request to marry Robert Sr. after his death.)

After her marriage, Mary served as first wife of Robert Sr.’s church. The couple were the proud parents of Robert, their only child. He died on February 23 after a suspected overdose.

“Robert is survived by his devoted parents, extended family, Faith Temple Spirit Church, pets … and many wonderful and caring friends around the world,” his obituary concluded. “His light, love and legacy will live forever in the hearts of those who knew him and the many who inspired him.”

The cause of death for Robert Jr. has not been shared publicly as Mary and Robert Sr. mourning his loss.

Throughout Mary’s reign on Bravo RHOSLChe and Robert Jr. they have openly shared his struggles with substance abuse.

“That really shocked me,” said Mary in particular Us in the 2025 cover story at the beginning of learning about her son’s addiction. “I immediately started to regret it, because I thought, ‘You can’t judge him and his life and his choices.’ I don’t believe in judging people. I am not just a judge. I don’t like to judge people, and I don’t like to do it.”
