The New Mother alum Kailyn Lowry is ready to spoil her 16-year-old son, Elliott Rivera, with a special gift.
“Are you old enough to drive? 🥺” Lowry, 33, asked his fans about Instagram on Sunday, February 1, along with a video of when he surprised his oldest child with a car. “Watch the full video tonight at 8PM EST at Patreon.com/kaillowry 🤍 .”
In a flash of excitement, Elliott looked nervous as he received the keys to the new ride.
“There are surprises inside the car. Get inside the driver’s seat because you are the driver,” Lowry told Elliott before highlighting some of his bonus gifts. “This one has all the emergency services if you get into an accident or need to scrape the snow off your car. If you need First Aid, it’s all there. Then in the summer, when it’s hot, put this on the windshield so the car doesn’t get hot inside. I hope you like it. This is your car!”
Soon after sharing the moment on social media, Lowry received messages of support from her The New Mother the family.
“We really broke the cycle Kail 🥹😭,” The New Mother‘s Tyler Baltierra he wrote in the comment section. “Proud of you and happy birthday to @isaacelliotr I love this! 👏🫶.”
Ashley Siren he added, “And make sure your friends always give you gas money 💰😂 jk , happy birthday 🎈🎂 .”
For curious fans hoping to learn the make and model of Elliott’s new gift, Lowry said he’s not ready to share all the details just yet.

Fans met Lowry when he appeared on MTV’s second season 16 and Pregnant in April 2010. At that time, the episode chronicled her pregnancy journey with her then-boyfriend Joe Rivera.
He later starred in a spin-off series New Mother 2 11 years before announcing in May 2022 that he was leaving the franchise to pursue other opportunities.

In June 2025, Elliott made his own news when he appeared on an episode of “He never became famous” podcast and turned on about his gender.
“This is mine, and I will build up the courage over time to appreciate you and let me have my moment,” he said, confirming that he is gay. “I am very saddened by the people who come forward with their stories and put things in their own words.”
Elliott – born Isaac Rivera – added, “I’m here today to show you who I am – not that you saw him on TV for 12 years of my life.”
