Luke Grimes finally reveals the exact reason why he left Hollywood for the rest of his life in Montana.
On Tuesday night’s “Marshals” premiere, Grimes — who stars in the “Yellowstone” spinoff — told Fox News Digital that moving to Montana full-time was an easy decision.
“I would go up there for three or four months out of the year and whenever we finished filming, and I would come back here, it was more like I was leaving home than coming home,” Grimes said.

The star said it took time, but he and his wife, Brazilian marketer Bianca Rodrigues, fell in love with life in Montana. The couple also have one child, son Rigel Randolph Grimes.
“It was a gradual shift over the course of a few years and then, yeah, my wife and I just fell in love with it and decided to stay there,” Grimes said.

“After his Yellowstone Ranch, Dutton joins an elite unit of US Marshals, combining his skills as a cowboy and a Navy SEAL to bring justice to Montana, where he and his teammates must balance family, work and the high psychological costs that come with serving as the last line of defense in the region’s war on violence,” the show’s synopsis reads.

“Well, they’re kind of two different species coming together. We’ve got a strategy, you know, bada– a team of Marshals. We’re behind Montana … and Kayce still has all the experience he has as a rancher and commissioner … But we’ve got an additional judicial and legal component in the West.

Grimes told Fox News Digital that giving Kayce a US Marshals badge forced her character to stop doing the “dirty” things she did on “Yellowstone.”

“I think throughout the first season of the show, they tried to get him to hold back,” he began. “That’s kind of the fun arc in the beginning is he learns how to have a badge and respect the badge and not fight dirt.”

“We wanted to make it feel complete and we wanted it to have enough of a ‘Yellowstone’ ethos where real fans could have something to hold on to to get into the show, but have a place to go that felt like their own,” he said.
