Louisiana All-Girls School Teacher Arrested for Harassing Student

A 29-year-old Louisiana biology teacher is facing serious criminal charges after allegedly sexually assaulting one of her students.
Teddy Pagewho no longer works at the Academy of the Sacred Heart, an all-girls Catholic school in New Orleans, turned himself in to police on Thursday, February 5. He was charged with one count of sexual intercourse between a teacher and a student, jail records show. Us Weekly the show.
Officials at the school knew about the alleged crime days ago, according to police.
During his initial appearance in Orleans County Circuit Court on Friday, Feb. 6, Page’s bond was set at $15,000, court records show.
Page was hired as a biology teacher in August 2025.
Academy of the Sacred Heart Head of School Head Gretchen Zibilich Kane in a statement released to local media that Page’s background and references revealed no previous problems, and that school faculty, staff and students are trained to maintain proper boundaries and report safety concerns to administrators.
“We support the student and his family who came forward to provide resources and advice to our students who may have been offended by these incidents,” said Kane.
WWL-TV, citing an affidavit in the case, reported that the abuse took place over several months.
The investigation into Page began after the student’s mother reported the alleged abuse to school officials, court records say. During the trial in the magistrate’s court on Friday, allegations were discussed in the court including the reported kiss that took place between Page and the student.
However, in the affidavit it is said that the teacher molested the girl many times.
The mother told police that she checked her daughter’s social media accounts and found posts of alleged sex between Page and the victim, in addition to photos of the two of them naked and kissing.
The alleged abuse allegedly took place at Page’s home and inside a car parked behind the restaurant, the affidavit reads.

Prosecutors requested a restraining order preventing Page from contacting the suspect, but the magistrate judge dismissed the request, citing the student’s age and the relationship between the suspects being described as consensual.
Louisiana law still prohibits such relationships because of the power imbalance between teachers and students when the student is at least 17 but younger than 21 and the teacher is four years older and works at the student’s school. The law also prohibits lewd or lascivious acts, including sexual contact, in person or directly.
One of Page’s fans, who described himself as his relative, defended him on social media on Friday, calling him an “award-winning teacher who is loved by his students.” The woman says Page placed herself at a club drinking with an 18-year-old student who “kept kissing Teddi,” but denied they had sex.
“The situation has been completely distorted,” the woman wrote. “He doesn’t deserve to be portrayed as a child abuser or sexual abuser.”
The next court hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 10.
