Lori Loughlin Is ‘In Love’ After Split From Mossimo Giannulli

Lori Loughlin dipping her toe in the dating pool after five months of separation from her estranged husband, Mossimo Giannulli.

The insider adds, “It’s nothing serious,” but Loughlin “feels like she’s got her spark back” after her split from Giannulli, 62, in October 2025.

A second insider added that Loughlin is “sort of getting over his divorce, but he’s been leaning on his girlfriends and having fun,” adding, “he’s not seriously dating anyone.”
Us It was previously confirmed in October 2025 that Loughlin and Giannulli, who share daughters Bella, 27, and Olivia Jade, 26, separated after almost 28 years of marriage. (Giannulli also shares son Gianni, 35, with ex Chris.)

Loughlin and Giannulli’s split comes after their marriage was tested by the infamous 2019 college admissions scandal.
The former couple was arrested in March 2019 after being accused of falsifying their daughters’ labor union membership – and paying $500,000 – so that both Bella and Olivia Jade could gain admission to the University of Southern California.
Loughlin and Giannulli initially denied all charges before changing their pleas. In May 2020, they pleaded guilty to wire and mail fraud.
Giannulli was sentenced to five months in prison and two years of supervised release and 250 hours of community service, but was released three weeks before April 2021.
Loughlin, on the other hand, served two months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Dublin, California. He was released in December 2020 and later completed two years of supervised release and 100 hours of community service. The pair also paid a $400,000 fine.
As the pair reunited in the spring of 2021, the source exclusively told Us in January that the school scandal was a “big change” for them. “They never contacted each other or rekindled their relationship after that,” the insider said.
Despite her personal pain, Loughlin has worked hard this past year to rebuild her career.
He sent her back When It Calls the Heart in the season 13 finale earlier this month before his full-time return to the Hallmark Channel series next season. Loughlin originally starred on the show for six seasons, before Hallmark cut ties with her amid the scandal.
The network announced in December 2025 that Loughlin will reprise her role as Abigail Stanton in the upcoming 14th season, which will likely premiere in early 2027.
Loughlin got the chance to return to her Hallmark “family” earlier this month, she said Us and other reporters at the Heart of Hope Valley event that the network “supporting and welcoming me with open arms has been very good to my soul. I am very happy to be back.”
