Squid Game Blooms for Regional Award Winners of Global Awards

INTERMEDIATE: The advertising and promotion teams behind a series of big movies, series and shows get their moment in the spotlight with the announcement of the regional winners of the World Entertainment Awards. Awards include Cinema, Television, Games and Broadcasting. The deadline is the first with the highest points of the winner in each category.

Work on some of the SVOD juggernaut’s latest titles has been noted. Season 3 for Netflix Squid game it has been featured multiple times, taking, among others, the award for Best Motion Poster (Asia) with RAVE Collective the winning agency. Trailer Park Group took the Best AV Campaign (Europe) for the Disney+ show A Thousand Fireworkswhich also registered several other wins (see link for full list).

In Cinema, Best Digital Out Of Home went to Blacklist for its work Tron: Ares. Best Motion Poster (Europe) was won by RAVE Collective for its work Image: Fire and Ashes. The ever-popular children’s series Bluey shortlisted for TV, with BBC Studios Creative winning Best 360 Campaign (Europe). Other TV highlights include winning the Friends social media site (North America), Warner Bros. Discovery takes the prize.

The GEAs are judged by a panel of 450 international experts. Regional winners, along with nominees and recommended entrants, are shortlisted for the GEA Global Awards, which are announced at an event in Marbella, Spain, in early March. Deadline is GEA’s media partner and will have images from the awards.

Tim Cole, CEO of the Global Entertainment Awards, said: “The work submitted in 2026 shows how the industry continues to evolve rapidly. The creativity, strategic precision and technical ambition we have seen this year is incredible. The Awards exist to champion talent in campaigns that are redefining the way audiences discover and connect with entertainment.”
