Kylie Kelce Has ‘Underlying Anger’ For Her Mother’s Unsolicited Advice

Kylie Kelce gets brutally honest about dealing with “unsolicited mom advice” as a parent of four.
Like, when people see you without your child and say, ‘They should be wearing hats.’ I’m like, ‘You gotta mind your own business,’” Kelce, 33, joked on the Sunday, March 29, episode of “Sunday Sports Club” a podcast. “‘He should wear socks.’ That’s good, do you have it because the three pairs I brought with you, you’ve already exploded, so do what you want.”
Kylie and her husband Jason Kelce are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, 6, Ellie, 5, Bennett, 3, and Finnley, who turns 1 on Monday, March 30.
“Sometimes I get this sneaky buzz when people want to give unsolicited advice,” Kylie admitted to the podcast host. Allison Kuchwho is pregnant with her second child. “A lot of negative feedback ends up giving me a feeling, like, ‘I can fix this quickly with a punch in the face.’
Without resorting to threats of physical violence, Kylie is tired of hearing “unhelpful advice” in her situation.
“These are unproductive things [comments about] socks, hats [and] ‘They shouldn’t be out in this weather,'” she said. “Things like that when you’re there, like, ‘Actually, we’re going to walk 10 steps out of the car and into this Dunkin Donuts to get what Mom calls pure juice or coffee. I need you to be so far away from me that you’re actually in a different zip code.’”
Kylie also doesn’t like hearing “just comments,” where another mom would tell her to wait for better days.
“The ‘just wait’ comment is really hard when you’re going through that phase of motherhood and someone else is going through it,” the field hockey coach said. “Sometimes it’s misunderstood, but being a mother who has experienced all the stages of joy, pitfalls, postpartum experiences, there are times to joke with a mother. Sometimes you don’t hit, and I do my best to ‘just wait’ in the wrong way.”
Kylie continued, “I try to give people as much grace as I can in that moment.”
Kylie and retired NFL star Jason, 37, have been married since 2017, often opening up about their lives as a growing family.
“We are always surrounded by family and friends, so we keep the people around us very close to us,” Kylie you are only told Us Weekly June 2024 to raise “humble” children. Then, we make sure that whatever we do they feel supported by their families and friends and we don’t put them in any places of privilege.”
