Kid Rock The Country festival responds after show cancellations

A day after Kid Rock’s Rock The Country festival canceled a planned stop in Anderson, South Carolina—after several artists pulled out citing concerns about political divisiveness—event organizers backtracked.
“Rock The Country is about bringing people together through music,” a representative for the festival told Fox News Digital in a statement. “Our lineups and crowds reflect that sentiment — the many voices, backgrounds, and stories that make up this country. We’re truly disappointed that we won’t be bringing this show to Anderson. Our fans work hard for their money, and we refuse to put on a show that doesn’t live up to the standards they deserve.”
“Our focus remains the same: Supporting our artists, honoring our fans, and delivering an unforgettable night across the country. The upcoming shows represent the heart of what Rock the Country stands for: music, community, and pride in where we come from.”

“Loving America is not about politics; it is who we are,” the statement concluded.
On Friday, the rock band Shinedown he released the Rock the Country festivalleaving fans with mixed feelings.
Shinedown took to X to announce their sudden exit from the festival, billed as “a celebration of the community, culture, and spirit that has carried America for 250 years,” explaining that their goal as a group is to “unite, not divide.”
“Shinedown is a band for everyone. We feel like we’ve been given a platform to bring everyone together through the power of music and song. We have one manager, and that’s all the listeners.”
“Our group’s goal is to unite, not to divide. For that reason, we have decided not to play the Rock the Country festival,” the statement read.

“We know that this decision will cause a difference of opinion,” continued Shinedown. “But we don’t want to participate in something that we believe will cause division.”
The festival, which was scheduled to be held in Anderson, South Carolina, on July 25 and July 26, has reportedly been canceled due to “unforeseen circumstances,” according to the report. Fox Carolina.
“Anderson County has been proud to host Rock the Country for the past two years,” Anderson County Executive Rusty Burns said in a statement to Fox Carolina. “This event was a huge success drawing tens of thousands of visitors, creating a multi-billion dollar economic impact in the Upstate. An event like this has proven the great venue and exceptional hospitality we have here in Anderson County. Of course, we are disappointed that Rock the Country will not be returning to Anderson this year.”
