TikTok’s Matt and Abby Howard Mark Daughter’s Due Date After Pregnancy Loss
Influencers Matt again Abby Howard they remember their daughter’s birthday after a miscarriage.
“In another version of today, maybe we were holding you for the first time. But not today,” the couple wrote on Instagram on Sunday, March 1. “Today we are saddened: our daughter and little sister.”
They concluded, “We are sad because we love (so much) and for the rest of our lives we will carry your love with us. Happy date set sweet Emerson Nicole. 🤍🪽.”
Alongside the message, the pair uploaded a photo of Abby holding a bouquet of white flowers while Matt rested his forehead on hers. Several users shared messages of support in the comments section.
“I am so sorry for your loss. ❤️🩹💕 Your Emerson Nicole is so loved. 🪽💗,” Jill Duggar he wrote, while Married At First Sight‘s Jamie Otis he added, “Big hugs to you both 🙏🏻❤️😢.”
Matt and Abby shared in September 2025 that they lost their third child after confirming Abby’s pregnancy. (The couple are parents to sons Griffin, 3, and August, 2.)
“During the pregnancy, our doctor couldn’t find a heartbeat. Right after he sent us for an ultrasound where the technician said the words we will never forget, ‘I’m so sorry I don’t have good news,'” read the caption on Instagram. “That’s when we got the gender reveal we never expected and the news that our baby had a genetic disease that took her life about 17 weeks into her pregnancy.”
The statement continued, “This news felt unimaginable. The grief is very painful. But we feel very grateful for the time we have had with him. And we still have hope. Hope has continued to appear for us in many ways. In the meantime we will grieve and continue to think of ways to honor his life offline. Thoughts and prayers are more precious than all the past weeks as we welcome this week 7.”
A few days later, Matt expressed his appreciation for those who sent messages of support during “this very difficult time.” Matt noted that Abby had been pregnant for so long that their baby could hear her voice.
“He had a heartbeat. He had little hands, little fingers, little toes. We’re still processing that,” Matt said on the October 2025 episode of the “Random Podcast.”
He concluded by saying, “Thank you for your patience during this time. This was a pre-recorded episode that we decided to share with you guys. We are very grateful for your thoughts and prayers during this time.”
While talking about the pregnancy loss during a separate episode of their podcast in December 2025, Matt shared that his marriage to Abby “has changed for the better.”
“What John Delony he says. He says, ‘When things like this happen, it’s like building a new marriage,'” Abby replied, referring to the host, “It’s like the marriage is gone and this is the new marriage we’re building together. I certainly feel that way about us in this marriage because of the way [we faced an] great pain.”
