Jennifer Lopez is celebrating twins Emme and Max’s 18th birthday with a sweet tribute

Jennifer Lopez shared a tribute to her twins, Max and Emme, on their 18th birthday.
The singer and actress shared an intimate video of her twins years ago on Instagram on Sunday. Set to One Direction’s “18,” the video showcased special moments in their lives, including Emme’s surprise appearance during her mother’s Super Bowl LIV show with Shakira in 2020.
Lopez, who shares Emme and Max with her ex-husband, Marc Anthony, recalled giving birth to her twins in the middle of the night during a typhoon in New York City.
“It was as if God made sure that he would enter a world full of pure magic!!” he wrote. “In my heart, I knew that your life will always be the same!!”
“When I held you babies, I honestly felt like I was holding two angels sent directly from heaven,” he continued, “my life changed forever.”
The “Hustlers” star affectionately called his children “coconuts”.
“‘I love you’ will never encompass the depth of feeling, love, and care I have for you, my coconuts,” she wrote. “We’ve always been the three of us!! We were on this trip together.”
“We’ve always been united to hold on and be that strong in the middle of any snowstorm,” he added. “And I promise you, my beautiful coconuts, no matter how big you get, it will be.”
“Always remember, Lulu, you are my sunshine…and Max, you are amazing just the way you are!! … Happy 18th Birthday, my amazing twins!!!”
Last October, the twins made a cameo appearance at the New York City premiere of the film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.”
Lopez, 56, was happy when she joined them on the red carpet.
Emme rocked a red velvet suit jacket, black satin shirt and black pants, while Max wore a multi-colored jacket over a burgundy sweater and khaki pants.
Later that month, Lopez revealed that Max and Emme had confronted her about not being in their lives as she navigated being a single mother after her divorce from Anthony.
During an appearance on “The Howard Stern Show,” he revealed that an important conversation took place during the COVID-19 crisis, when he was able to “stay home” and be more present,
“They talk to me, [and] boys, ‘You are not an ordinary mother. You are not here every day. You don’t abandon us and pick us up like others [moms],’” she recalled, noting that her children were about 10 years old at the time.
“And I realized how much they needed me there,” he added.
