Jennifer Lopez shared a touching tribute to his two children, twins Wait again Max Munizon their 18th birthdays.
Lopez, 56, shared Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthonytook to Instagram on Sunday, February 22, to celebrate the milestone with words and a video full of pictures and images. “He was born in the middle of the night, in the middle of the biggest, most beautiful storm that NY has seen in years!!” Lopez began. “I remember riding in the car and looking out the window, where everything was blinking and covered in white that night, as I held you both in my belly for a few seconds before I gave birth to you.”
The “Waiting For Tonight” singer continued, “It was as if God made sure that you would enter a world full of pure magic!! In my heart, I knew that your life would always be like this!!”
Lopez then thought about how her world was changed forever when Emme and Max arrived. He wrote: “When I held you babies, I honestly felt like I was holding two angels sent directly from heaven. “My life changed forever. I can’t believe you are now adults … 18 years old! You are both kind, generous, and loving.”
The video tribute to the singer included photos of a professional portrait taken when the babies were born, as well as photos taken later where they appeared in full beauty. Home clips included in the edit also showed her children laughing and playing with mom, hugging mom and accompanying her backstage and on stage during performances around the world.
“How lucky the world was on this day 18 years ago when God decided to send you here with all your talents and spirit and heart to make this world a better place, because that’s what you do for me and anyone who is lucky enough to know you both every day,” continued Lopez. “‘I love you’ can never describe the depth of feeling, love, and concern I have for you, my coconuts.”
Praise concluded, “We’ve been on this journey together. We’ve always held each other and been that strong through the snow. And I promise you, my beautiful coconut, no matter how old you are, it will be. Always remember, Lulu, you’re my sunshine … and Max, you’re as amazing as you can be, Happythday, love 18 I love you! twins!!!”

Before Max and Emme go to college in 2026, Lopez said Entertainment Tonight in January that he felt “really happy” watching his children make new chapters. “I’m like, [I] I can’t believe we’re here, you know, just the three of us. It was a journey for the three of us in this life [because] I was a single mom since they were 3 years old,” she told the outlet at the time. (Lopez and Anthony, 57, announced their split in July 2011 and the twins were born in 2008.)
Lopez added, “People have come in and out of my life, but really it’s just been the three of us. Seeing how they’re, like, thriving right now and the adults, like the young adults they’re growing into … they’re ready for their lives. [at] 18.”
