Curtis is known in Hollywood for speaking his mind, telling AARP Movies for Grownups in March that his mind changed when he turned 60, telling the outlet that he “realizes I’m going to die soon.”

“Sooner rather than later means sooner rather than later. And that realization meant I don’t have time to waste. I don’t have time to waste on toxic people, on relationships that could help me,” he added.

The “Freakier Friday” star shared the caption that he’s in New York to promote his latest project, “Scarpetta,” which he stars in and produces alongside Nicole Kidman.

Based on the series of popular books written by Patricia Cornwell, “Scarpetta” stars Kidman as a forensic pathologist, Dr. Kay Scarpetta as she works to catch a serial killer. Curtis stars alongside her as Dorothy Farinelli, the sister of Kidman’s character.

“She brings her spirit, open, beautiful, kind, grateful for this opportunity,” she told AARP about working with Kidman. “I go into every job the same way every day. I don’t care if it’s a yogurt commercial or a TV show I’m producing. We both appreciate that we can do this. And at this age, if we’re not in this together, I don’t know what we’re doing.”

And that’s very sad.”
