The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants will begin live streaming exclusively on Paramount+ February 17, 2026. That’s right, starting tomorrow, you can watch everyone’s favorite underwater invertebrate in its fourth theatrical release from the comfort of your own home.
What is ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’ about?
SpongeBob’s latest adventures include the Flying Dutchman (Mark Hamill), a ghostly villain accidentally summoned when SpongeBob finds Mr. Krabs’ (Clancy Brown) a secret burial of ancient marine fossils. Determined to prove his bravery, he and Patrick Star (Bill Fagerbakke) accepts The Flying Dutchman’s offer to sail with his undead crew.
But the unsuspecting two don’t know that the Dutchman is really using them to avenge his death and become the pirate everyone on land and sea fears. Is Mr. Krabs, Squidward Tentacles (Rodger Bumpass) and Gary the Snail (also Kenney) warns them in advance to save them and stop Dutch’s evil plan?
