Hollywood farmer-turned-Texas Adrian Grenier is making a full-time return to acting — under one condition

Maybe active bugs are on Adrian Grenier’s Texas ranch.
The “Entourage” star — who has been living at the 46-acre Kintsugi Ranch in Bastrop since 2020 — is back on screens with a new short film called “Self Custody,” which was shot in Austin near home.
And he’s determined to keep the momentum going — as long as Tinseltown keeps coming to him.
“I mean, the truth is, the industry is going to me,” Grenier, 49, told Page Six in an exclusive interview with co-stars Henry Cejudo and Garrett Patten, who are also directing the “bitcoin action-thriller.”
“There’s $2.5 billion that the Texas state government has just invested in film and television programs in Texas,” Grenier noted. “They’re building three movie studios not too far from me. I see no reason why we can’t continue filming in Texas.”
Patten told us they’re in “discussions” about adapting “Preservation” into a feature film or TV show of some kind.
Grenier is perfect for it. “It’s very powerful,” he marveled. So I’m looking forward to continuing to turn the ‘Self Custody’ genre into a bigger project.”
Although the actor — who visited Austin for decades before buying his first property in the city around 2016 — has a “soft spot [his] the heart of California,” the Lone Star State is now his home.
He enjoys life out of the limelight with his wife, Jordan Roemmele, and their sons: Seiko, who is almost 3, and Evren, who will turn 1 later this month.
“It’s a party. It’s a total party. I love it. I really love it,” Grenier said of having two under-3s.
“One thing I have to say that we all share on this call – Garrett and Henry – is that we are dedicated as fathers,” he made sure to add. “If we’re not talking about the store and we’re talking about business, we’re talking about how we love our children.”
Grenier decided to dip his toes back into the acting pool with “Taking Care of Yourself,” mostly, because he believed in the team and understood the subject.
“Of course I only take [on] roles that reflect my values or speak to me in some way.” “I’m in a position, fortunately, where I don’t have to just take whatever I can get. So this was a project that met my standards, I think, in terms of the story of filmmaking. “
“And then the character himself really spoke to me,” continued Grenier, who plays a wealthy businessman responsible for giving his former employee (Patten) a signing bonus worth millions of dollars in bitcoins.
Meanwhile, Patten plays a struggling father whose quest to retrieve a lost fortune sends him into a high-rise world of encrypted wallets, forgotten passwords and the perils of the dark web.
“You know, as a bitcoin person, bitcoin maxi and someone who believes in crypto as an ideology and a philosophy, it was probably made for me,” said Grenier.
“Self Custody” marks her first acting role in four years, though her biggest claims to fame remain the 2006 classic “The Devil Wears Prada” and the hit HBO series “Entourage,” which ran from 2004 to 2011.
When we asked Grenier about her recent reunion with her “Entourage” co-star Jeremy Piven, the former shared that the latter “recently moved” to Austin.
Regarding the potential of the “Entourage” revival, Grenier teased, “We’re ready to go. Until the AI comes to pull us over, we’re ready to go.”
