Harry Styles responds to hair transplant rumors
As any OG fan will know, Harry Styles has gone through many memorable hair seasons.
First, there was his classic One Direction/IX Factor curls, encouraging young men across the UK to grow their hair. (Believe me, I was there.)
Then there is the true age of long hair, around 2015.
And, of course, who can forget the bandana moment?
Well, with many eyes on his famous locks, Harry found himself faced with speculation about whether his hair was real. Allow me to explain.
I’m pretty sure it all started in 2022 when the anonymous gossip site DeuxMoi posted an unverified blind item claiming that an “A-list singer/occasional actress” was losing her hair and had turned to expensive hairdos to correct the condition.
This led TikTok sleuths to analyze Harry’s slow-motion videos to see if he was secretly wearing a toupée.
Things got better in 2023 when Harry was photographed with a shaved head, which, if you don’t know, is often done before undergoing a hair transplant procedure. (But not always. You can read about it here.)
It is fair to say that there is absolutely no shame in wanting to deal with hair loss. Tons of celebrities – probably more than we realize – have had hair transplants, and some have talked openly about losing their hair; it is very common, especially among men.
Of course, Harry had known this conversation for years. In 2022, he addressed rumors about his hair during an interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “What is baldness? … Skip a generation or something, right? If your grandfather’s bald you’re going to be bald? Well, my grandfather wasn’t bald, so fingers crossed.”
Which brings us to this week. Harry, as you may know, is preparing to release his long-awaited fourth album, Kiss Always. A disco, sometimes.and just made a very interesting appearance for Brittany Broski The Royal Court.
During the sweet interview, which came out on Feb. 25, Brittany jokingly asked Harry if he had fake teeth, as is common in Hollywood. He denied that, then said: “This is for the hair, however…”
Brittany’s reaction says it all honestly. And the way he just presented himself? It’s very good.
Naturally, fans love his honesty, with another X user saying: “It’s so refreshing to see a celebrity who can make a joke and at the same time not give a damn.”
Well, you can do what you want! But, hair transplant or not, I gotta love it when a celebrity can laugh at themselves.
