Hailey Bieber Reflects On Her Life After Stroke, Heart Surgery

Hailey Bieber he opened up about how his outlook on life changed after a stroke and heart surgery.
“I’m really into the body and medicine and doctors,” Bieber, 29, commented during the episode on Wednesday, February 18. Jake ShaneThe “Therapuss” podcast. “And I love it.”
Hailey, who shares 17-month-old son Jack Blues with her husband Justin Bieberhe remembered how a health scare changed the way he looked at the medical field. “A few years ago, I had a crazy medical situation. I had a stroke,” he explained. “Then I found out I had this congenital heart condition, I had to have surgery, which sounds really crazy, but they cut my pelvis and I was in and out of the hospital the same day.”
After heart surgery, Hailey reassessed how much she had been taking care of her health.
“That situation made me more aware of my body and I worried less about things and sitting on them,” he admitted. “But I’ve always been really focused and loving life.”
He concluded: “And that was kind of what made me want to [start my beauty company]Rhodes. My passion for skin care also stems from my love of medicine.”

Hailey was hospitalized in March 2022 due to a minor stroke. He then revealed in April 2022 that he underwent a patent foramen ovale (PFO) closure procedure to close a hole in his heart, which went “very well.”
Over the next year, Hailey reflected on the challenges she faced in her personal life.
“I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting that I’m having a hard time,” Hailey wrote on her Instagram Story in April 2023. “But in reality from 2023 I started having the saddest, hardest times I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions were fragile knowing how other people feel, and I don’t feel alone 🫶.”
In a second post, Hailey issued a message to anyone facing similar issues. “This being said, let’s continue to deal with each other, let’s be there for our loved ones and friends and families and strangers,” he added. “Let’s be there for people.. let’s keep showing each other even when it’s hard. We’re better together 🤍.”
Hailey’s husband Justin, 31, also faced problems when he took a break from the 2022 tour after being diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which caused a mild facial deformity.
“This is so bad as you can see,” Justin said in an Instagram video in June. “I wish it wasn’t like that, but obviously my body is telling me to slow down.”
