Savannah Guthrie and her family issued a new statement to the people of Tucson, Arizona, amid their matriarch Nancy Guthrie’s continued disappearance, explaining that they cannot “be sad” until she is brought home.
“We are so grateful for the outpouring of neighbors, friends and the people of Tucson. We are all family now,” the family told KVOA-TV News exclusively on Saturday, March 21. “We continue to believe that Tucsonians, and the greater community of Southern Arizona, hold the key to finding a solution to this case. You know what.”
The Guthries suggested that someone in the community may “have information that I don’t even know is important.” They asked the public to “search their memories” for any details that stood out.
“We are asking the community to reconsider our mother’s case – please look at the camera footage, journal notes, text messages, comments or conversations that may be relevant in retrospect,” their statement continued. “No detail is too small. It could be the key.”
The Guthries say they “remember [their] mother with every breath” and will not be able to find “peace” until “when he is home.”
“We cannot be sad; we can be sad and wonder,” they said. “We are very focused on finding him and bringing him home. We want to celebrate his good life and courage but we will not do that until he is brought to his final resting place.”
Their statement concluded: “Thank you for continuing to pray without ceasing.”
Nancy was first reported missing on February 1, 2026, when she failed to meet her friends to watch a church service. Shortly after his disappearance, authorities determined it was a kidnapping.
Since then, Guthrie and his siblings, Cameron Guthrie,61, and Annie Guthrie56, they stayed at their mother’s house as the investigation is still ongoing. The siblings appeared in many videos shared on Instagram, pleading for their mother’s safe return and any information that could lead to the suspects of her abduction.
“Our mother was taken in the darkness of the night in her bed, and every hour and minute and second and long night since then, worrying about her and fearing her, pain for her, and above all, just missing her, missing her,” said Guthrie in an Instagram video shared on February 25, adding that the information about the kidnapping of their mother increased $ 1.
“We know that millions of you have been praying, many people have been praying of all faiths and no faith at all, praying for him to come back, and we hear those prayers. Please continue to pray without ceasing,” he added. “We still believe. We still believe in a miracle”
In the text, Savannah revealed that $1 million will be paid “solely for the recovery” of Nancy, 84. She encouraged those who know something that could help the case to contact the FBI, noting that callers can “remain anonymous” or “find a way to contact me.”
On March 5, Savannah made an emotional comeback on the game set Today show – the first since her mother went missing.
