Twitch streamer and rapper Aspen Kartier the internet is buzzing after a video of her apparently scolding her dog went viral online. In this noise, many have reacted as this 19-year-old child is facing serious charges following his recent arrest in connection with this incident.

Aspen Kartier Faces Animal Cruelty Charges
On Friday night, January 30, reports spread online that Aspen Kartier, whose legal name is Aspen Easterlling, had been arrested. According to TMZ, Brookhaven police said they have received multiple complaints related to the viral video. Authorities added that they gathered enough evidence to obtain both a search warrant for his residence and an arrest warrant. The broadcaster was reportedly taken into custody around 9:30 p.m
While the investigation is ongoing, officials said the three-month-old Maltipoo found inside the home appears to be healthy. Animal control responded to the scene and took the dog into protective custody.
PETA Releases Statement After Arrest
After the news of Aspen Kartier’s arrest, he was hit with animal cruelty charges and later arrested. As the case began to gain attention online, PETA released a statement thanking the public for coming forward and confirming that they had assisted in the investigation. In their statement, PETA shared that,
“Update: After a disturbing video went viral online, showing Twitch host Aspen Kartier abusing his dog, PETA worked with Brookhaven Police to make an arrest on animal cruelty charges and rescue the dog. Thank you to everyone who came forward on this case. Never stay silent when you see abuse.”
On Monday, February 2, a mug shot of Aspen from his arrest surfaced online, adding to the ongoing debate.
Around the same time, he also changed his profile picture to a picture of his dog.
