Adrian Grenier he has a soft spot in his heart for his former costar Anne Hathaway – even though the two haven’t seen each other since the first time in 2006 The Devil Wears Prada.
“I have never seen [Anne],” Grenier, 49, said to himself Us Weekly on Friday, March 13, while promoting his new film Self-preservationa bitcoin thriller available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
“I haven’t seen him since then either,” he added.
According to the The circle star, hasn’t seen Hathaway, 43, since their hit movie The Devil Wears Prada It started working in 2006. The couple appeared on the red carpet at the Loews Lincoln Center Theater in New York City at the time, along with their partners. Stanley Tucci, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt again Daniel Sunjata.
Many of Grenier’s former costars have reunited for the long-awaited follow-up to the blockbuster film, The Devil Wears Prada 2. News broke in July 2024 that the film was finally in production, following Hathaway’s character as she returned to the infamous Runway offices as a features editor.
Grenier, however, doesn’t reprise his breakout role as Andrea Sachs’ (Hathaway) less-than-supportive boyfriend, Nate.

So, I mean, obviously I was disappointed, but you know – I can’t be in everything, you know?”
Despite his admitted disappointment, Grenier admits that it made sense for his character to be included in the sequel, as Nate and Andy were no longer a couple at the end of the first film.
“That makes sense,” he said Us. “I mean, Andy’s stepping up and, you know, I get it. Yeah. Nate is the devil, according to some people … he wanted to settle down, I think, and you know. I get that.”
He added, “I hope they invite me to the first show at least, come!”

“I hope everyone will dress up and go to the movies,” said the actor Vogue back in February. “I hope people remember how fun it was to wear hot pink and go see Barbie. I hope everyone gets to wear their favorite Priest-approved Miranda dress and have a blast.”
