Famous stylists choose the best looks for the 2026 Oscars

The Oscars red carpet is the longest runway in the world, where Hollywood movie stars flaunt one-of-a-kind dresses and glittering jewels. This year, the talent descended on the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles in custom glamour, from Chase Infiniti’s silk Louis Vuitton gown, which took 750 hours, to Ejae’s gold sequin Dior confection by Jonathan Anderson.
We asked three top celebrity stylists to weigh in on the top 10 looks from the awards show, from glamorous classics to avant-garde designs. Below, their expert opinions on the most impactful looks of the night.

1. Chase the Infiniti at Louis Vuitton
“LV really ruled the carpet tonight! I was obsessed with every look…Chase won my heart with her funky ruffles, shiny hair and serious beauty.” – Joie Thorpe
2. Ejae in Dior
“That moment when that gorgeous dress finally comes off the carpet and you cry, yelling across the room: ‘WOOO!’ Ejae in Dior was the moment we all want to be (like her ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ character Rumi). Shiny gold for everyone!” – Anahita Moussavian
3. Jessie Buckley in Chanel
“Jessie Buckley in custom Chanel looked simple and comfortable. This was my favorite of all her looks so far. Old Hollywood glamor reworked in contrasting color blocking and matching red lips. Timeless perfection!” – Emma Pritchard
4. Gwyneth Paltrow in Giorgio Armani Privé
“90s minimalism is *the moment*. And we tried our best, no one right now she captures the OG essence better than Gwyneth Paltrow hitting the Oscars tonight in a cool, slinky, nude, Giorgio Armani Privé dress paired with Tiffany jewelry and a super slick side part.” – Anahita Moussavian
5. Barbie Ferreira in Gap Studio by Zac Posen
“Barbie in high street drama!!! I loved everything about this custom look by Gap Studio by Zac Posen. The bright blue moiré taffeta, the corset with fine bone, green and the bustle of the smart shirt sleeve. Her pose exuded confidence. Not only did she look incredible, you could tell she felt it too!” – Emma Pritchard
6. Renate Reinsve at Louis Vuitton
“Honestly it was so cute with a strong nod to the ’90s. The monochromatic look and statement cuff felt so cute and minimal. I’m officially an LV girl!” – Joie Thorpe
7. Timothée Chalamet in Givenchy by Sarah Burton
“Timothée feels outstanding – embracing risk and bringing a new, next-generation perspective to personal style that feels exciting and innovative.” – Joie Thorpe
8. Wunmi Mosaku at Louis Vuitton
“I keep coming back to Wunmi Mosaku in this bright green Louis Vuitton. Effortless (right down to her LV eyeshadow and David Yurman jewelry). Maybe it was the monochromatic intent, or maybe it was her pregnancy glow, but there was no doubt that Mosaku shone brightly this evening.” – Anahita Moussavian
9. Kate Hudson in Giorgio Armani Privé
“Kate remains untouchable! A true OG, she took a peplum split and gave it sex appeal! Here it is.” – Joie Thorpe
10. Pedro Pascal at Chanel
“Pedro Pascal rewrote the rules of formal wear at custom Chanel. Ditching the jacket and tie, instead relying on clean tailoring and accessories. French cuffs, cummerbund, pearl tuxedo studs and an engraved statement pin. An effortless little art class!” – Emma Pritchard
