The Eurovision Song Contest is back for another year (yes), and we’re putting on our glitter and strapping on our heels with anticipation.
Here’s everything we know so far about the 70th Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
When is Eurovision 2026?
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Vienna, Austria (CEST) on Tuesday 12 May (First Semi-Final), Thursday 14 May (Second Semi-Final) and Saturday 16 May (Grand Final) 2026. The dates shown are in Austrian local time.
Which country is hosting Eurovision 2026?
Thanks to JJ’s stunning victory in Basel, Switzerland last year with their song ‘Wasted Love’, Austria will host the Eurovision Song Contest for the third time in 2026, having previously hosted the contest in 1967 and again in 2015.
This year’s Eurovision Song Contest will be held at Wiener Stadthalle, Vienna, Austria.
Who are your hosts in Vienna for Eurovision 2026?
Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski will host the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
Two multi-talented artists in multiple creative fields, each with a wealth of presenting experience behind them, ORF announced the presenting couple on Thursday, 29 January.
Victoria Swarovski, from Innsbruck in Tyrol, Austria, is a TV presenter, entrepreneur, model, designer and singer. Michael Ostrowski, from Leoben in Austria, is a film and TV actor, and a popular broadcaster.

Logie award-winning presenter Tony Armstrong and hyphenate singer and global icon Courtney Act will once again take the commentary helm, this time at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna, Austria.

What is the Semi-Final schedule?
Here is the official list of countries competing in the Eurovision 2026 Semi-Finals.
The exact order of the two Semi-Finals will be decided at the end of March.
In Vienna 2026, both the public vote and the jury vote will determine the Top 10 countries in each Semi-Final. These will then progress to the Grand Final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest.
Who won Eurovision 2025?
After fighting against 36 other countries, Austrian intervener JJ took home the grand prize for their song ‘Wasted Love’.
JJ wowed crowds and over 160 million viewers worldwide with their ballad-turned-club song featuring singers.
“Thank you, Europe, for making my dreams come true,” the 24-year-old said he told SBS.
“Love is the greatest force in the world. Let’s spread more love.
“This is beyond my wildest dreams. It’s crazy.”
This is the third time Austria has won Eurovision, with Udo Jürgens taking first place in 1965 and Conchita Wurst in 2014.
How long has Australia been competing in Eurovision?
This year marks eleven years since Australia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Although Australia entered Eurovision 2014 with a guest appearance from Jessica Mauboy, our first entry into the competition was in 2015 with a song by Guy Sebastian. And tonight.

In 2016, Dami Im finished second with her song ‘Sound of Silence’ at the Stockholm Grand Finals. He lost Ukraine Jamala.
Im among the top five finishers, including Guy Sebastian, Isaiah Firebrace, Kate Miller-Heidke and Voyager.
