A key piece of evidence could provide investigators with another clue to the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie from her Tucson, Arizona home, as the search for the 84-year-old man enters its second week.

Photos obtained by Fox News Digital show drops of blood on the floor in front of Nancy Guthrie’s front door and in her driveway, painting a shocking picture of what could have led to her disappearance.

“Nancy Guthrie is bleeding somewhere, hands or face,” pathologist Dr. Michael Baden told Fox News Digital. “The nature of blood spots with small pale areas or donut shapes is typical for drops from the nose or mouth, because they are mixed with air.”

“That means you’re coughing up blood or dripping from your nose. Alternatively, there could be dripping from a culture from above, possibly on your hands or face.”

Law enforcement previously confirmed that DNA analysis of the droplets confirmed that the blood was Nancy Guthrie’s.

Baden added that the drops of blood meant that Nancy Guthrie could not or did not try to stop the bleeding as she walked from the front of her house to the driveway.

“This blood fell on the balcony during the kidnapping,” said Baden. “They show that it didn’t happen in an innocent way.”

“It didn’t happen in the normal, innocent way where it could be covered or iodined and bandaged.”

Baden identified the type of blood drops and the location where they were found indicating that he was bleeding as he was being kidnapped.

“These are not pure drops. From their composition, the number of drops and the location of the drops outside the house on the balcony, they are the same and show what happened during the abduction.”

Guthrie disappeared from her home in Tucson, Arizona in the early hours of Sunday, Feb. 1. She was reported missing later that same day after she didn’t attend her church’s weekly live broadcast with friends.
