Israel defeated Iranian targets with a simultaneous attack by about 200 warplanes in what the Israeli military called the largest airstrike in its history.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Saturday published a video of its airstrike firing missiles into western Iran as Israel and the US take part in an effort against Tehran.
The IDF said the warplanes flew under the intelligence guidance of the IDF and the Israeli Air Force and carried out “massive strikes” against the Iranian regime’s missile and defense systems in western and central Iran.
“This is the largest military flight in the history of the Israeli Air Force (IAF), carried out following precise planning and based on high-level intelligence, while synchronizing hundreds of warplanes at the same time,” the IDF said.

The warplanes dropped hundreds of missiles on about 500 targets, including air defense systems and missiles, gaining air superiority over Iran and severely damaging its offensive capabilities.
“The military flyover foiled many threats that threatened IAF warplanes and Israeli civilians,” the IDF said, adding that the IAF continues to operate in Iran.

Israel’s Defense Minister Israel Katz described the nationwide raids as aimed at eliminating threats.
Iranian military, government symbols and intelligence facilities were targeted, according to an official briefed on the operation, who told The Associated Press on condition of anonymity to discuss non-public information.
President Donald Trump said the joint effort is a major campaign to destroy the country’s military capabilities and eliminate the threat of creating a nuclear weapon.
