CBS News anchor Peter Attia made plans to meet with Epstein as his infant son fought for his life in the hospital.

Newly named CBS News contributor Peter Attia made plans to meet with convicted felon Jeffery Epstein as his wife begged him to come see her infant son in the hospital after the little boy stopped breathing, according to the aging activist.

In his book, “Outlive: The Science and Art of Longevity,” Attia, 52, recounts the heartbreaking moment he received a phone call from his wife, Jill, telling her that her son, Ayrton, had suddenly stopped breathing on the night of July 11, 2017.

“I stayed in New York, busy with my ‘important’ job,” he admitted in the letter. “Ayrton was arrested on Tuesday, but I didn’t get home to San Diego until Friday of the following week. Ten days later.”

However, Attia failed to mention that during this difficult time, she was making plans to meet with Epstein, a disgraced New York financier who was already involved in child trafficking allegations, according to recently released emails between the two.

Attia admitted he feels guilty about his decision, describing himself as a “blind, selfish, scrutinized husband and father” who may never forgive himself for neglecting his family.

“Even today, when I think about what happened, I feel disgusted by my behavior,” he wrote. “I can’t believe I did that to my family.”

Just a day after talking to his wife about their sick son, Attia made plans to meet with Epstein on July 13 – even offering to change his schedule to make the convicted sex offender’s day easier.

“Can you do it before 10 am? tomorrow,” Epstein wrote.

“Sure,” replied Attia. “I can come early, too, if you have a hard stop at 10. Let me know.”

It is unclear if Attia and Epstein actually met on July 13, 2017, or what they did together if so.

Along with his July 13 emails, the latest Epstein documents reveal Attia’s communications with the convicted sex trafficker, including an email in which he tells a pervert that “p—y is, really, low carb.”

Attia was mentioned in the files 1,741 times in the 3 million documents released Friday, many of which questioned Epstein’s health and referred to the convicted sex offender’s “horrific” lifestyle.

On Monday, Attia issued a profuse apology in which she said she was “embarrassed” by the conversations with Epstein.

“I apologize and regret putting myself in a position where emails, some of which are embarrassing, tasteless, and indefensible, are now public, and that’s on me. I accept that fact and the humiliation that comes with it,” the celebrity doctor said in a lengthy statement to X.

Attia insists that her interaction with Epstein had nothing to do with “sexual harassment or exploitation of anyone” and that she was “not involved in any criminal activity.”

CBS News is reporting whether it will cut ties with Attia, but new CEO Bari Weiss is wondering if he wants to give in to the “mob” that wants him fired, according to sources.
