Husband Arrests Indiana School Employee for Sexually Harassing Student

Union City police arrested a 31-year-old man Alicia Hughes following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse he allegedly committed against two young boys.
At the time of his arrest, Hughes was working at the Randolph Eastern School Corporation in Randolph County, Indiana. Us Weekly confirmed.
Law enforcement began looking for Hughes after receiving a report of a suspected battery at his home.
When the police investigated the situation, they found out that Hughes’ husband had found her in bed with an 18-year-old student at Randolph Eastern School Corporation in Union City and confronted the two.
Hughes was allegedly punched and punched by her husband during the argument. No charges have been filed against her husband yet, but the investigation into the alleged battery is ongoing.
While they were looking for the couple, police said they found evidence that Hughes had sexually assaulted another high school student, who was 17 years old when the molestation was reported.
Investigators found that Hughes sexually assaulted the 17-year-old at least five times, and obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Hughes was arrested and charged with five counts of solicitation related to sexually assaulting a minor.
He was transported to the Randolph County Jail and is being held on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
In a letter to parents, Superintendent Neal Adams he did not say whether Hughes was still employed, only saying that he had been “removed from all activities and students pending the outcome of the legal process.”
“Because this is an active criminal investigation, and to protect student privacy and the integrity of the process, RESC will not comment on specifics at this time,” Adams said. “We will continue to follow all legal and personnel procedures required under state law and board policy.”
Us calls to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office and the Union City Police Department seeking more information went unanswered.
The investigation is still ongoing, and police are asking anyone with information about Hughes’ alleged crimes to contact them at (937) 968-7744.
