Carrie Underwood faced unexpected backlash during the latest “American Idol” season, drawing fire on social media for politics and being on the “right side of history.”

On Monday, the 42-year-old “American Idol” judge revealed to X, previously on Twitter, that she received a warm reception from the audience during the long-running reality competition show Hollywood Week.

“Spoiler alert…I am SO fed up with our Hollywood Sunday audience,” Underwood wrote, adding a slapped face emoji and tagging the show.

Social media users quickly flocked to the comments section to express their anger over Underwood’s perceived bias, with many referencing her performance during President Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration.
