California style is a big spring fashion trend – here’s how to wear the look

California, come on! Bloomingdale’s celebrates West Coast style this spring with hundreds of exclusive looks inspired by the sun, fun and cool of the beach.
As part of the retailer’s “California Love” campaign, the retailer transformed its 59th Street flagship in NYC into The Surf Shop, a pop-up stocked with beachy essentials from bikinis to sunblock.
Los Angeles label STAUD is one of several brands that developed special styles for the campaign, including palm tree-print dresses, a playful beaded bag inspired by a California license plate and a raffia take on Arizona’s oversized Birkenstock bucket sandals.

Bloomingdale’s, the playful AQUA x Lisa Says Gah collaboration is also a highlight, swimwear, swimwear, accessories, home furnishings and children’s clothing. Prices start at $38 and top out at $198.
“This partnership feels like a love letter to home,” says Gah founder Lisa Bühler Lisa. “Sharing California’s spirit, warmth, and passion through Bloomingdale’s feels like a dream come true. I’m excited for people across the country to hear a little bit of what inspires us every day.”

California style is synonymous with denim, and few brands make jeans as well as Rag & Bone.
The brand’s Miramar styles — actually made from soft cotton terry printed to look like denim — are popular, but you can’t go wrong with any of Rag & Bone’s traditional jeans (or cute graphic tees), either.

Prefer your denim less worn? Cinq à Sept has you covered for all your warm weather occasions (or even just a day at the office) with their black wash and separates.
